Dear Hartlip Residents,

Community Project – Seeking Your Views on Potential Precepts Council Tax Increase. The consultation is live on the website under the PUBLIC CONSULTATION tab. Please complete, also sign up for email alerts here on the website to receive consultation results, important updates and news.

The Hartlip Parish Council is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the village and ensuring that local facilities, infrastructure, and community spaces continue to serve the needs of all residents.

We are currently considering a number of potential projects that would benefit the village by improving the safety of certain roads. To deliver these improvements, additional funding would be required beyond our existing budget.

The way to raise this funding is through a nominal increase in the parish precept (the portion of Council Tax allocated to the Parish Council). This would be a temporary uplift for the year 2026/2027, your Council Tax would then revert in respect of this project uplift.

Before progressing a resolution, we would like to hear your views. Would you be willing to pay a little more in Council Tax to help fund improvements within the village?

We are asking for your feedback to help guide the council’s next steps. No decisions will be made without a full consultation and consideration of residents' opinions. Please share your view by filling out the quick form on the website.
